William Shakespeare was believed born in Stratford-on-Avon, England on April 23, 1564. Shakespeare went to one of the new public schools in order to study Latin which is the language of all educated people, no matter which country they are from.
Shakespeare’s Wife and Children
After he left the school in 1582, Shakespeare married a woman that he loved named Anne Hathaway a few years later, exactly on November 28, 1582, in Worcester, Canterbury Province. At that time, he just 18 years old and his wife is 8 years older than him, 26. He had three children from his marriage in which two of them are girls named Susanna and Judith which has a twin brother named Hamnet. Unfortunately, Judith’s twin Hamnet died at the age of 11 in 1596 and the cause of his death was unknown.
Later his first daughter Susanna married a man named John Hall, a doctor in Stratford. He got his first grandchild in 1608 and was named Elizabeth. And before his death in 1616, his second daughter Judith married a Stratford vintner, Thomas Quiney.
It has been said that William Shakespeare died on April 23, 1616, and he was on his 52nd birthday at that time. Even so, many scholars believed that it was just a myth which means that there is no evidence of his death. But, a record from a Church showed that William Shakespeare was buried on April 25, 1616, at the Trinity Church where there is a memorial bust of William Shakespeare.
When he died, he left most of his wealth to his first daughter Susanna although his wife, Anne Hathaway was still alive and has a third of his estate which then, drawn a lot of speculations about his relationship with his wife.
